I feel as if 2012 is going to be the year that I restore my health
and start up numerous new projects and relationships. In the
past month since I've start the plant based diet, my blood
sugars are starting to stabilize in the low 100's and below 100.
Meaning I'm on the road to reversing my diabetes and neuropathy.
I'm also planning to start soon new therapies to help my legs heal
and strengthen so I can stand and then walk again. I believe like
the mythology of "The Phoenix", I will rise from the ashes of my
illness and be reborn into a healthy robust new life. I recently
opened an online digital bookstore offering a variety of e-books
at reasonable prices generally between $4-$8
at http://digitalbooksforsuccess.com and plan starting to broadcast
my storytelling podcast "Tales Are For Telling" this month.
This blog is my way of exploring what I've learned the past four years from my wife, in her late 40's, passing on to almost dying myself and getting my left leg amputated, to striving to find a new life.

Importance of Being Open Minded
Through my journey towards self discovery, I have come to know the
importance of developing an open mind and point of view taking in,
analyzing, accepting or rejecting information through my world view.
I have learned to open my mind to explore for more than one right
answer knowing that the pursuit of knowledge is a life long quest.
Being open minded allows us to explore the world around us with a
sense of wonder and when interacting with other people, as my
loving wife wrote, share love. When we take this path we may
find that at the end of the road there's a light shinning brightly.

Way of Enlightenment
On my journey I have come to know that believing in the way of Yeshua means
following the way of Love and Truth which leads you on the path towards
the light of enlightenment that we are One with the Father no matter what
our race, creed sex, or sexual preference. To open our mind to show love,
which is as my wife wrote, being open to listen to the ideas of others.
When we can treat others and their ideas with an open mind whether we
agree with them or not then ,as Yeshua says in the Bible, we will come
to know the Kingdom of God which is within and dwell in Heaven.

Just Because You're Bright Doesn't Mean Your Right
A few months ago while studying the ideas from various scientists, I started to realize
a pattern, someone would make a new discovery only to get it rejected by the
establishment and over a period of time, a few years to hundreds of years, it would
become established belief. Meanwhile numerous people died who could of been
saved using vitamin c for scurvey or doctors washing their hands between patients
preventing infections. I realized there have a lot of bright people who have come
to the wrong conclusions. From this I conclude intelligence itself isn't enough there
are other factors such as openness, desire for knowledge and truth, and not getting
caught up in oneself importance. To remind this in myself and others I composed
the saying" Just Because You're Bright Doesn't Mean You're Right."

A Few Thoughts
Yesterday I watched a documentary for free on Documentary Wire.com entitled
A Diet For All Reasons which was a lecture by a medical doctor discussing how
the diet we eat determines if we get sick with chronic disease or stay healthy.
I'm finishing up my first month on a plant based diet and today my blood sugars
were 87 with 75-95 being non-diabetic and so it's working!
Over and over I've come to realize that the greatest treasure we have is our family
and close friends and we need to remember not to take them for granted and get
too caught up in daily activities.
Being a storyteller, one of the stories I tell is Aesop's The Northwind and the Sun
where the two of them have a contest to prove which one is the stronger of the two.
The Northwind goes first blowing cold gusts upon a traveler trying to get him to
take his coat off but the opposite happens and the wind leaves in disgust. Then it's
the Sun's turn and pours down his warm rays soothing the man who takes off
his coat. The moral is It's Better To Use Warm Persuasion Than Cold Force.
What kind of people do we want to be Sun's or Northwind's?
