Believe in Your Reality

Tonight, in the christian calendar, is the holiest night
of the year. A night of pure love and devine hope, a
time to open your eyes to the awesome potential for
accomplishing great things for yourself and for others
following the path and opening your eyes to the great
love and guidance shared by Yeshua Ben Josef.

He tried to shine a light on everyone of  us saying,
"I have come to give you life."  And " Let him
who seeks continue seeking until he finds."
He wanted us to understand the awesome potential
we all possess if only we would take a journey to
discover who we really are.

Only, as Socrates stated, " Know thyself" can one
truly believe that you are here for a noble purpose,
a great cause, a devine purpose joining in unison
with the universal spirit of  which we are all apart of.

As we reflect on the year that has past, we really need
to focus on the teachings he left and the example he set
and come together in cooperation and love which is
truly the "Kingdom of God" that he spoke of.

We have many problems in our society and it's time we open
our minds and our hearts  to really understand this ancient
wisdom and take it to our minds and hearts embracing his
love and compassion and making it our own.
To realize that we are one with him and one with the universal
spirit who is the source of everything.

So on this sacred night, I wish you all devine peace, joy, and
a open mind and heart to his beautiful message.
             MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It Only Happens Through Taking Action

I have learn through my years of living  that you
can talk about your aspirations, goals, fears, or
anythingelse but if you don't set  an action
plan and follow through nothing will change.

Many of us have the dreaded someday I'll
do this or overcome that but as the song says
someday never comes.

We need to face life head on learning to overcome
our fears realizing like Ben Franklin did it's all in our
heads as he said,"90% of what I feared never happened."

Tony Robbins, a famous motivational speaker, is always
talking about taking action. Or Jack Canfield reminds us
to"feel the fear but go for it anyway."
It's important that we create for ourselves the habit of taking
action to improve our lives. It may seem hard at first but it
gets easier each time you do it.

I heard a story how Tom Hopkins, a master sales trainer, always
refused to give speeches until one day he tried and each time it kept
getting easier and they even started to applaud.
Today he is among the elite speakers in world earning a large
income from speaking.

I have and continue to face these same challenges daily, but I
am now taking Canfield's advice making myself take the actions
I need to do to improve my life and help others improve theirs.
As the saying goes,"If it's going to be, it's up to me!"

Today is the day you start something new not yesterday or tomorrow
so join me in changing your life and take action to achieve what you
want from life!

The Drive To Be....Whole

If you have now or in the past faced a health challenge
then you'll be able to relate to what I'm talking about.
I had learned from Patty's illness that though I felt
for her I truly couldn't relate until I experienced what
has happened the past 3+ years with my diabetes and
complications.

In a sense, no matter how much loving care you have
you are still going through the challenge...alone!
So there needs to be a point where you need to decide
what course of action you're going to take.

I have chosen to take charge and set my own course
to regaining my health by gaining knowledge and
finding the people I need to help me.
This is what I've done and it's starting to work!

I have a drive as any ill person does...the drive to
become whole again. I believe the stronger that drive is
the stronger the motivation and desire to do what you need
to do to achieve your goal or objective.

But it all comes from within and how deep you can reach when
the going gets rough. There's a famous saying, " When the going
gets tough, the tough get going."
So as we approach the new year, I am very optimistic about my
future and I'm proud of some of the friends I have for there
inner strength and focused mind to take charge of their lives.

My hat is off to you ladies!

Never Give Up

That great british statesmen Winston Churchill once said
"Never, never, never give up."
As we go on this journey we call life, we are faced with
different challenges but we must not give into them but
instead dig deep inside ourselves to find the strength to
overcome and succeed.

Sometimes the road isn't easy and becomes drawn out
but if you look you'll find the stamina you need to keep
yourself  moving forward developing a can do attitude
that nothing is going to stop you!

If you've read other blog posts of mine then you know
the past five years have been very rough for me.
From losing the woman who meant everything to me,
to losing my health, part of my left leg, my ability to
walk and work then almost my life.
But through all that I've continue to look forward to
believe that I could recover regaining my health and
make a real contribution to this world.

Now after 31/2 years, I'm starting to put it all together
diet, exercise, therapy, burning desire and belief to make
my resurrection back to good health and a productive
life in 2013.

Each one of us has the ability to face our challenges square
in the eye taking whatever action is necessary to succeed
but to do so we must keep trying never giving up.

Remember failures are just stepping stones toward the road
to success and so chart your course, man your sails, and make
it happen!

Is Your Doctor A Drug Pusher or a Problem Solver

In talking with  a neighbor recently discussing our health
challenges, at this time, I discovered that we had the same
doctor whose solution is drugs.
It got me to thinking, due to all the research I've done,
that there  are two types of doctors. Drug pushers and
problem solvers.

The drug pusher discovers symptoms and prescribes
synthetic drugs that act as a band aid solution and
mask the problem.

While the problem solver discovers the route causes
and prescribes the most effective treatment available
many times natural and when necessary drugs.

Sometimes drugs are the only solution available but
considering the toxicity to use them first instead of
trying safer natural methods is a disservice to the
patient.

Many ailments are caused by one's diet and/or
nutritional deficiences  so it just makes sense to look
to correct this either by changing the diet or restoring the
the deficiences solving the problem instead of using drugs
to mask the problem.

A perfect example, I'm very familiar with is type 2 diabetes
which is a lifestyle disorder caused by insulin resistance
the body's inability to cover the glucose in your cells.
The doctors who push drugs will prescribe a diabetic drug
many of which are dangerous causing side effects such as
heart problems killing many patients.

But since it's a lifestyle disorder, problem solvers will suggest
the patient make changes in diet and exercise which works.
Using this type of program I got my A1C test down to 5.2.

So it's up for you to decide do you want a pill pusher usually
an allopathic doctor or a problem solver generally an integrative,
functional, or natropathic doctor to treat you.

Developing a Success Attitude

One of the keys to living a happy and productive
life is the attitude you develop toward life, meaning
what you focus on.

Winston Churchill stated, " Success consists of going
from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."
Again it's all how you view your experiences and
the point of view you take.

It is said people who are successful do the things that
other people won't do. Things like setting goals, developing
an action plan, and taking positive action consistently
until the goal is reached.  Having that determination to
push forward no matter what others think, say, or do.

You also need to believe in yourself that you have what
it takes to achieve your desired outcome. To develop this
belief you need to continually try until you succeed making
this apart of your belief system building your confidence.
Each time you make an attempt analyze what happen,
what did you do that good or bad and make necessary
changes until you achieve a flawless performance.

Also don't let you mind run away with building up reasons
why I can't do it, it won't work, it's too much for me etc.
Ben Franklin, one of our country's wisest sages, said.
"90% of everything I worried about never happened,"
Develop a can do focus as you follow life's highway.

Remember " If it's gonna be it's up to me!"

As you keep taking positive action building positive thoughts
through spaced repetition you will make the positive changes
you desire and achieve your goals.

Also don't procrastinate " Don't put off for tomorrow what you
can do today."  Cause remember someday never comes so set
your plans and chart your course cause your ship is leaving,
so are you ready to take the  journey of a life time in the
ocean of success.

Your time is now!

Reflections on an Angel

Since this is the time of year we consider what we are
grateful for I want to write about the person who changed
my life for the better and I'll always be grateful that I
turned around in my seat at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln
Center to see the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen in
my life who two years later would become my bride and
wife.

Patricia as I came to know her was much more than just
a beautiful face as she was a sparkling personality with
a loving and caring heart, a brilliant woman with a 210
I.Q. as well as a gifted artist with an powerful 5 octive
range voice in addition to being a talented actress, visual
artist, and poet.

She achieved some acclaim being named Bride of the Year
in 1990, name three times Woman of the Year by the
American Biographical Institute and twice Woman of the
Year by the International Biographical Institute as well as
numerous listings in Who's Who publications including
Who's Who in the World.

But to me Patty was the light of my world, the love of my
heart, and my eternal soul mate.  If there is such a thing as
love at first sight then it hit both of us really bad. Her radiant
personality drew in everyone she knew and totally put me
under her spell. She was an angel here on earth and we were
each others.

I lost my angel five years ago to cardiac arrest and the light
in my life has dimmed. Someday we will be together for
eternity and once again that light  in my heart will shine
bright forever.

Focus on Your Future

Many times when we're facing challenges whether
they be health, financial, or emotional, we may tend
to focus on the past or stay where we are accepting our
fate. We feel there is no hope for our future.

But we need to realize that we can change  and improve
our future if we develop the correct mind set to analyze
what caused our challenge and what steps we need to follow
to succeed .

If we haven't already developed it we need to focus on having
a positive can do attitude that if we look, search, and keep exploring
we can find the answers to our challenge.

I've recently read stories on women who developed MS and searched
for solutions to this horrid disease and overtime learned how to put
their symptoms into remission.

Or stories of soldiers who lost one or both legs to come back and climb
a famous mountain . Or a lone runner with a prosthetic leg run in the
Olympics.

It's all how you view things!  You can decide what outcome you want
and work to achieve it.
I know because like everyone else I've faced numerous challenges but I
keep focusing on the future with hope and determination  to find the
solutions to help me heal myself and walk again.

So we need to start to believe that all isn't lost and that you can have
a bright future if you become solution orientated , never give up,
and focus on your future.

The Road To Find Out

Back in the 1970's one of my favorite singer-songwriters
was Cat Stevens who sang a song called The Road To Find Out
which is song about going on a quest to learn wisdom and the
truth about who we are.

A couple of thousand years before another man with a beard said,
" Let him who seeks continue seeking till he finds. When
he finds he will become troubled ,when he becomes troubled
he will be astonished, and he will rule over all." His name was
Yeshua Ben Josef.

Both these wise men knew that to seek the truth one had to go
on a quest of self-discovery to gain true wisdom and insight.
Cause only then can we be certain of the truth of the knowlege
we've attained.

Today in our fast paced world, we don't seem to have the time
to search for answers to problems that may affect our lives. Some do!
I  recently read a story of a woman who had MS and whose
doctors weren't able to help her. She decided to start to research
about her disease and ten years later discovered the answers she
was looking for and put her symptoms into remission.

We need to realize to discover the truth about our world takes
time but can provide a deep knowledge, understanding, and
growth of our very soul.

We are told a number of things which we readily accept without
questionning so not truly knowing if in fact they where said for
our benefit or that of a select few.

You have a brain use it !

As you have time, explore your world, ideas, beliefs searching
to unlock the answers to better health, solid understanding, and better
interactions with others to build a more vibrant life.
The decision is yours.

Fired Up! Ready To Go!

Recently I was watching part of a speech President Obama
was giving when he used the term " Fired Up Ready To Go!"
and it made me think, am I "Fired Up Ready To Go" in my
life to face the challenges before me and they're powerfully
big!

Are you " Fired Up  Ready To Go" or  are you sitting back
waiting for things to happen, fall into place, or become a
reality.

If you want success in the  different areas of your life you
have to make it happen. You need to pre plan everything
you want to happen then set up an action plan and follow
that plan to get the results you desire.

There are six important areas of your life you need to look
at.  Your family and home, physical and health, mental
educational, social and cultural, spiritual and ethical, and
mental and emotional. To be able to develop a balanced
life . All these life areas need to be in balance to live
a happy productive life.

But you also need to have presistant drive to remain focused
forward to achieve all that you desire. There many times that
is not easy but you've got to pull yourself  together through the
tough spots to achieve what you desire.

Someday Never Comes

I remember in my youth a song by, one of my favorite
groups, Creedance Clearwater Revival called Someday
Never Comes.

It's true! We dream of things we want to buy, or places
we want to visit, or that special someone we want to meet
but then wake up from our dream to life's reality .

We say oh well someday I'll do this, go there, buy that
sigh and go back to living.

But what if you could change that paradigm .
What if you could achieve what you really want, would you
be willing as they say "pay the price", change your beliefs
and thoughts patterns, do what is neccesary !

I believe in the bible it says, " All things are possible to he
who believeth." Could you set out on a new course and start
to make your dreams a reality by setting goals, developing
an action plan, and taking action to achieve what  you desire!

You need to first decide what it is you want and then write down
the goal with a time frame to achieve it.
Next you need the desire to keep you focused forward to pursue
your goal no matter how hard it gets.
Then you need the self-confidence to firmly believe that you can
make it happen and achieve it.
Then finally you need to develop the iron determination of a
champion totally focused on what you want and never stopping no
matter what other people think, say , or do!

Multi-millionaire Paul J. Meyer followed these steps to build a large
personal growth company and millions in self worth.

This concept can work in all areas of life!  If you're ill, like me, make
a decision to commit to doing everthing you can to get well and heal.
I have and I'm no different than you! Like Cat Stevens wrote ,
"I'm on the road to find out." To find out what therapies there are that
can help me.  What changes in diet I must persue. What is it going to take!

No one said Life was easy but facing up to one's challenges can heal your
body and grow your soul.
You can dream about what you want or take charge of your life and plan
and work to make it happen!
You are the captain of your ship and you are the master of your soul.
The choice is yours!

Focused Forward

There's a lady friend of mine who has had a number of challenges
brought before her in her life but continues to strive forward
building the best life that she can, she's like a lioness strong
and proud!

Each of us as we follow our paths are faced with challenges
but it's how we react that can make all the difference in the way
our lives move forward or stay stuck.
There's an old saying when given lemons make lemonade.

Unfortunately, many people develop chronic illnesses every
year. While many accept their bad fate, there are others who
fight back and search for solutions conventional medicine
ignores or overlooks.

So many times we're told that this is the way it is,nothing you can
do about it, bad break, or just relax!
I was told I'll never walk again but I will cause I'll keep
trying until I do!
It's not always easy and the progress can be slow with your
patience wearing thin but you have to stay focused forward
to the future life you want to live.

There's another saying that I heard which is " If you can believe
it then you can achieve it!"
So many times, I have heard stories of people striving back to achieve
what seemed impossible!  Running in the Olympics with a prosthetic
leg, or climbing Mt. Everest with 2 prosthetic legs or just being able
to walk again to live a normal life.

Some of us have developed the ability to dig down deep inside
ourselves to find something more, an inner strength and drive
to focus moving forward and not  let life's challenges hold us back,
bring us down, or stop us cold.
For we are the captain's of our ship and it's full steam ahead!
Focused forward!

F.E.A.R.

Fear the word strikes terror in the hearts and mind
in every man, woman, and child. The unknown, the
future, stress, worry, high blood pressure, our minds
going wild!

Benjamin Franklin, one of our wisest men stated,"
90% of of the things I worried about never happened."

It's our minds running through all types of possible
outcomes which are negative. Our whole society seems
to thrive on negative thought patterns .
We are told we are born sinful, that certain activities are
evil or wrong, that you can't do it, you are put down for
attempting something and not achieving it, you find every
reason you can why something won't work, it's hopeless!

But like Ol'Ben said It's all in your head with an assist from
authority figures bent on controlling your thinking and values.
The key is to realize you have the ability to think for yourself
and analyze information based on sound fundermentals and
wisdom from great leaders like Yeshua, Buddah, and the Tao
among others.

You can control your own thought patterns focusing on postive
thoughts and actions .You can have an upbeat can do attitude that you
will succeed and face your fears as a challenge, as a driving force,
as a stepping stone towards success.

Fear can also be looked at as F.E.A.R. or
Focus
Effort
Action
Results

Driving you to achieve your dreams and a happy life.
It's all how you look at it or view it.
Start today to daily use your fears as a driving force
to achieve all you can be.

As Franklin D. Roosevelt stated, " There's nothing to fear but fear itself."

Determination

The drive to achieve anything takes many attributes
but an essential trait is that of determination or the
ability to persist to achieving your goal or desired
result no matter what challenges you are facing.

I believe every winner in all walks of life has the
ability to reach down somewhere deep in the
themselves to keep going, pay the price, stick with
the project in the face of adversity no matter how long
it takes or what others may say, think, or do !

Though it is not easy something drives you to keep
going even on bad days and the prize may seem along
way away but you live for each incremental step your
making down the road towards your prize, achievement,
or accomplishment.

Three and a half years ago, I was faced with the decision
of my life having just had my left leg below my knee
amputated and for the first time not being able to stand
or walk. I had to decide was I going to accept my fate
living my life without hope full of despair or was I going
to chart a course no matter what others said to regain
my life and the ability to walk.

As many of you know by now, I chose the road to recovery
with all the pitfalls along the way. It hasn't been easy but  I
have such a burning desire to walk and live a normal life
that I push on day after day many times with no  improvement.
Sometimes you can't visualize the prize but deep in your
heart and soul you know you can make it.

As the saying goes, " If you can believe it, you can achieve it!"
These past 3 plus years, have been an amazing learning experience
and it's not over yet. Each day my goal is drawing closer and I
have learned a valuable life lesson that the road to success
isn't  always easy but it is possible if you have the focus, drive,
the ability to keep an open mind, and the burning  desire to
achieve no matter what!

Remember, " If it's going to be, it's up to me!"

Rising Up Like The Phoenix

For over 3 years, I been challenged physically due
to complications from my diabetes including sitting
in a wheelchair for all that time which has stiffened
my muscles.

No matter what others have said I have taken the road
less traveled with miles to go before I sleep from a job
well done as I will experience the joy of good health and
regain entrance into the land of the walking.

You can't imagine what it has be like to watch others
walk, run, play and you sit and watch after being active
all your life.  Some accept this situation but I cannot as
there is so much more I want to do, to experience, to
know, and to share!

Life can be a magnificant  adventure if you can open
your mind to the possibilities. You can't let challenges
get in your way but you must rise up in glorious flight
like "The Phoenix" rising up from its ashes soaring
mightily to achieve your desires, dreams, or goals.

It's never easy and the road may be long and hard
but others have come before you to reach the mountain
top literally!  I believe if one person can do it so can
another.  Don't listen to the naysayers who would lack
the guts to try.  Rise up! Never quit! Be prepared for
the journey ahead no matter what your goal is for
some glorious day in the future you will rise up to
walk again!

If You Don't Walk Down The Path I Travel.....

''If you don't walk down the path I travel, how can you
see the sights I see."  The idea behind this thought
finds its origin 'from the Gospel of Thomas where
Yeshua talks early on about  taking, like he had, a journey
of self discovery to discover who you are at your core.

We're all different having had different upbringings,
experiences, points of view, and perspectives yet some
of us have a curiosity of gaining  knowledge and "truth"
and others are willing  to accept what is passed down.

When one seeks a path to enlightenment the teacher does
appear and a path way presents itself where a range of
thoughts are discovered some pleasing and others disturbing.

We have been discourged from taking this path, " the true way"
by authority figures not wanting us to know because we wouldn't
couldn't understand it. Only they possessed they said the ability
to know.

But we must march forward to discover the ancient teachings
which reveal to us a new perspective of conciousness  and
understanding opening the way to inner peace and viewing
the world with " new eyes" the " eyes of Yeshua."

Common Sense Revisited

We are now in a pivotal time in our 200 plus year
history which could determine our future for many
years to come.

This great nation was founded on the principles of
hard work, perseverance, the rights of anyone to
pick themselves up to strive for greatness, and the
idea of community that we are the American People
where like at The House of Burgess everyone should
have a say!

Somehow we've lost our way from the noble ideas of
our founding fathers to the petty politics of today.
We need to chart a new vision by opening our preexisting
perspectives to view a new day in America where we focus
on the many and not the few.  Where we view each other as
brothers and sisters , not  just giving lip service. to the beautiful
lessons an amazing carpenter weaved some 2000 years ago.
I've said many times he spoke," Love others as I love you."
But truly how many of us really do! We are not going to get out
of this centuries old dilemma unless are able to put on new eyes
" the eyes of Yeshua,"  where we realize we are all one, Americans!
not Democrats or Republicans and working for the common good
and the benefit of every individual no matter the race, sex, or faith.
This message has been shared before throughout time yet we manage
to give it a deaf ear , too busy to hear it, goes against my interests,
and numerous other excuses. But just remember, other great civilizations
have gone under remember Greece and Rome!

It's time to Wake Up America and open our minds to a range of
possibilities that can restore greatness to this majestic land.

Believe You Can !

So many times in our lives we are faced with
challenges and obstacles which line our paths
but with the right attitude, determination, a pre-set
plan of action, and the power of belief you can
find strategies to succeed.

Believe you can ! A can do attitude of " Finding a
way or making one".
Now I'm not saying it's always fast or easy but it's
possible!

Over 3 years ago, I joined the ranks of amputees
in this great nation and have been told by health
professionals my walking days are done!
That it was a pipe dream, an illusion of my mind.

But I am the captain of my ship , I refuse to accept
their limited point of view. Don't submissively accept
another person's opinion no matter who they think
they are but find your own way, make your own path
as there is so much information available to us all today.

Today I was able to stand for a short time but I'm on
my way towards the taste of success once again joining
the land of the walkers. A disability is only a disability
if you let it control you and not you master it!

So rise up making your voice be heard and find your
way or path to achieving what you desire.
See you soon in the world of the walkers!

The Reality of Illusion

We get so rapped up in our lives each day, our
wants, our needs, our desires , our beliefs that
we can tell ourselves whatever we want to further
our  desires whether it's reality or an illusion we've
created because we can't face our reality.

I am no different, the past 5 years has been a living
hell for me. First I lost my beautiful wife too young!
Then about a year later, part of my left leg and my
ability to walk. and almost my life!

Then for the past 3 plus years, I've been fighting back
to regain my health and the ignorance of the medical
establishment.

But I decided in my hospital  bed, that I was the captain
of this ship and I was not going to go down. That I was going
to find "the way" to regaining my health, ability to walk,
a new beautiful loving partner, and a bigger and better career!

So  I've been going full steam ahead, focused on my objectives,
believing  that I could start to rebuild my life on schedule.
But then one day, a beautiful little bird came into my world
and without knowing it lifted my spirit further but then made me
realize that I was being dishonest with myself creating an illusion
that everything was on target when it wasn't.

In many ways, my life is moving in the right direction and my
therapists and nurses fully expect me to recover in 2013 but
in some areas, in my life, I'm  living in a world of illusion needing
to remove the pain not of losing my lower left leg but the
masterpiece that honored me in 1990 to share all of herself with me.

In my desire to move on, I've created in my mind a beautiful illusion
that I was ready to start to heal that wound in my heart and soul
to find a new miss wonderful beautiful, intelligent, talented, and
caring and she is out there but I would be dishonest and illusional
to her and to me to think that I'm ready now to share all of me with
her.

So I want to thank that beautiful little bird for helping me come back
to reality and have the patience for events to develop for  like my
masterpiece beauty if she spoke would whisper their names.

A New Perspective

Now I want you to humor me as I ask you to open
your mind and perspective as I lay out some ideas.

I have studied the works of Dr. Edward de Bono  and
Dr. Roger van Oech, who write about developing the skills
of thinking.   Dr. van Oech discusses in his book
A Wack on the Side of  the Head  that many
times there is more than one right answer but we need to be
open minded and have the burning desire to look. Or as the
bible states," Seek and you shall find."

For centuries, various ideas and perspectives have been passed
down  as the "truth" of the way things are because certain
individuals or organizations have decreed so!   As we've been
told not to think for ourselves or explore different alternatives.
But now with the internet, a wealth of information is at everyone's
finger tips which makes it, for the first time in human history,
possible to explore different ideas, perspectives, and view points
and decide what we as thinking intelligent primates believe.

But then we should be able to be respectful of others points
of view even when we disagree, working toward mutual
understanding and solutions. Congress are you paying attention!

We've been told that religion and science can't work together!
But it's not true!  Science can validate certain religious beliefs
by shining new light on it. We need to open our ears and to hear
the cries of the universe and the carpenter whose knowledge has
been ignored for too long!

For example, you may refer to the source of everything as God but
I prefer Universal Intelligence yet we're talking about the same idea
just using different labels.  If we can't see that what hope is there for
us as a species!

More Projections

It 's interesting to whom ever you listen to today about last
nights debate between Biden and Ryan that each side
projects from their own preexisting perspective.

Speaking from one's perspective is fine but making this exercise
between us and them instead of we is a big reason we're in the
mess we're in as a nation. It's been  a dilemma Yeshua faced
2000 years ago and it continues to rear its ugly head.

What does it take for men and women to realize we are all
connected and one and should treat each other with love,
kindness, and respect working together to build this great
nation instead of tearing it down for the benefit of the few.

I believe two of my heroes Jefferson and Lincoln who were
trying to build a more perfect union for everyone would be
dismayed at the current situation.  Lincoln, a republican,
said," of the people, for the people, by the people shall
not perish from the earth." And he was not referring to
corporations!

What has made our country great is that we have focused on
building a nation that benefits everyone not just the elite.
That is why our forefathers came here in the first place!
It eminates from the  writings of Jefferson and
Payne two of our greatest American philosophers.

I don't know how we can steer the course away from
national decline if we can't follow the message from
a simple carpenter some 2000 years ago." Love others
as I have loved you."

It's time for us as a nation, a peoples, to truly listen to
the humble carpenter and start working towards a
national goal, an American goal and rebuild this
magnificant nation to the ideal of great men like
Jefferson, Lincoln, and Payne.

Labels and Projections

Over the past three years, I 've been seeking answers to try
and understand my wife Patty's passing over and about
the afterlife.  In my journey, I've read many materials
including numerous gospels in addition to the 4 in the
bible.

Many people blindly accept dogma without question
because they are told to do so.  I do not, as I have an open
and curious mind that thinks for itself.

In my studies, I read the Gospel of Thomas where Yeshua
(Jesus) says," Let him who seeks continue seeking till he
finds. When he finds he shall become troubled.
When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and
 he will rule over all."

I took for the last 3 plus years the challenge Yeshua made
and all that he said was true .  I view him as my mentor and
have been learning to view the world through the eyes of Yeshua
just as he predicted.

I've come to realize listening to numerous bible scholars and
astrophysists that things aren't as we 've been told .
Now this might be difficult for some of you to believe but we
as humans have a thing for labelling and projection.
We get all caught up in placing labels on people, God, things
etc. defining these things through our own projections to suit
our needs.

The bible says ," God is spirit." We know from astrophysics that
spirit is energy which is immortal. We also know from science
that the mind and the brain are separate. We are all connected to
the source which we call God which is a label. I prefer Universal
Intellience myself.

As scholars, including Tillich and Campbell,  have stated that this
label of God is a universal mystery, the ultimate ground of our very
being, that is connected to everything and everyone.

With all the problems in our country and world, we finally need to
take the blinders off  to finally realize we are all spiritual beings from the
same source and that the bible is a beauiful book that's been rewritten
throughout history and that we don't have any orginial copies and that it is
written in to use my term" spirital metaphor."  Yeshua believed it was the
spiritual and not the physical that was important.

The only way I can see how we can heal ourselves is to open our eyes,
hearts, and mind to finally realize the truth and finally truly hear the
words that Yeshua spoke some 2,000 years ago.

For then he said," The kingdom of God is here on earth but men do
not see it!"  And as such do not act accordingly.

The Drive Within

Why is it that some people succeed on a massive level or over
come unbeliveable odds. It's because they have something inside
them that challenges them, that  makes them go for the goal
and helps them to focus on what they want to achieve.

Through the last 5 years, I've been given many challenges
which I could have given into to a life of quite desperation
and defeat.  But , like Frost wrote,"  I have taken the road less
travelled by, and that will make all the difference."

I decided 3 years ago, when I was in the hospital that I
wasn't gonna give up no matter what anyone said.
That I was, if neccessary , find my own path, make
my own way!

Now I have teamed up with some wonderful health
professionals who are giving me the therapies and the
strategies I need to get to the promised land of good
health and walking!

I heard if you can believe it then you can achieve it!
Or as Winston Churchill stated," Never give up!
Never give up! Never, never give up!"

I won't Winston caused I may be down but I will
never be out! I'm on my way to a new life!

Thoughts on Meeting The Opposite Sex

Five years ago, I lost the most important person in
my life, my beautiful wife Patricia. Then I became
very sick myself and almost died in the hospital.
But I recovered continuing to grow stronger every day
and starting to socialize meeting some new people
online especially women.  I hadn't try to meet women
since 1988 when I met my lovely wife. Plus I feel the
dating scene has changed. I'm coming to the dating scene
from a different prospective now being a formerly married
man instead of just being single.

I've realized that there are two steps in getting to know
women. The first step I call the surface step which deals
with physical attraction. From that step we hopefully move
to step 2 which I call the depth step.  Here is where you start to
explore the other person their feelings, beliefs, interests, respect
for them to see if you anything in common. As time passes, a
common bond and truly caring may grow where you're starting
to view the world as one for the benefit of each other.

I'm continuing to heal with the help of my health team and expect
to be back to my new life in the months to come.
I've been fortunate to chat online with some beautiful women that
I've met.  Too often people equate the idea of beauty being
physical . My late wife was physically beautiful
but over time I learned more importantly that her inner beauty
was greater. It is true also of the ladies I've met. To find a
woman with physical and inner beauty is a true gift that I don't
know if many men appreciate.

I hope as I continue to heal and grow that I will find that special
someone again. For I know that I don't want to spend the rest of
my life alone.

Do We Know The Difference Between Myth and Reality

For centuries now information has been passed down
as true only to be discovered later as being a myth
a non truth passed on for benefit of some people.
Even today, in so many fields, we are feed information
which is meant in many cases to benefit the one who is
sharing the information and not the people they're sharing
it with.  It seems to be wide spread through many areas of
society including politics, corporate advertising, medicine
among others.  Which I find makes it very difficult to make
wise choices.  Control and greed has played major roles
for centuries in shaping our societies and I believe it's time
in the 21st Century that we open our minds and not just
blindly accept what we're feed. We need to spend the time
exploring for what is true.  Being a diabetic, I've learned
to not believe everything I read or hear from so called health
professionals. Many do not keep up with cutting edge  research
or have narrow biased views.  I've come to feel through 14 years
dealing with my wife's or my illness that a patient who blindly listens
to their doctor might be putting themselves in harm's way.  Our lives
are very busy but we need to think for ourselves and not
just accept what we're feed.

For She Blessed Me With Her Love

For the past week, I've posted some short poems my talented
late wife Patty wrote that were beautiful and well received.
Patty wrote me a letter 3 years before she pass over that says
I knew her better than anyone  and she'd be lost without me.
I don't know if she knew  that the same was true from me.
Since she has been gone, I sometimes have felt lost without her.
In private, I agonize her leaving me but I know she'd want me
to live on and be happy.  I'm  going to live on for us both making
her poetry well known.  Her spirit lives in my soul forever, but
I also know that I need to lead my life and try an find a new person to
lead my life with when I'm well and  I'm working hard to make
myself healthy again and through some soul searching I know that I
could fully give myself to another if I can find her.  Patty was an amazing
woman who was named 5 times Woman of the Year by national and
international biographical organizations as well as Bride of the Year
in 1990.  I don't think that most people realized how concerned she was for
others combined with a brilliant mind, over 200 IQ and was working on her
first doctorate with  amazing artistic talent in singing, acting, visual art, poetry,
and even puppetry.  Patty was  beautiful physically as well as possessing inner
beauty and she captured my heart the minute I laid eyes on her.  I thought
she was the most beautiful woman I ever saw.
She'll be with  me forever caused she blessed with her love.

The Drive To Win

As I continue to work on regaining my health , I've come to
focus on doing whatever is needed to heal. The drive has become
stronger each day as I've focus on my goal continuing to make progress.
It's been a  long journey, over 3  years, and keeping focused has not
been easy but  if you truly believe you can achieve your objective then
you find ways to keep going . Because as long as you don't quit then
you can succeed.  I can't say when I'll be healed but I know that I will be.
I continue to search for answers because if you look for more than one
right answer you will find solutions. I believe if someone else can do it
then so can I.  Remember "What ever you can believe you can achieve".

Focus On Being A Success

Lately I've studying ways to be more productive
and successful.  As I continue to heal, I believe
in the next 6 months I'm going to make strides
that I'll be able to start living a normal life and getting
back to work.
I've been reading Paul J. Meyer and Dr. Stephen Covey
and have developed a plan of action.  Clearly define what
you goal is to proactively pursue it developing a plan of
action step by step.  Then each day focus on the important
activities while building desire, self-confidence, and determination.
You build your confidence daily by pursuing your goals even if you afraid.
As they say, "Feel The Fear But Go For It Anyway".
By focusing your mind on what you want with a belief in your abilities
you can reach your destination.

Birth of a Legacy

Recently I've been watching, listening, reading a lot of the works
of the late mythologist Joesph Campbell which has me exploring
the ideas around myth , mythology, and legacy.

I thought about all famous people who had legacies created about them.
I've decided its time a legacy was built around my beautiful late
wife Patty Claire.  Patty was a child prodigy having an IQ of over
200 and when she passed over, she was working on her first of
two Phd's to add to her 2 B.A.'s and 2 M.A.'s. She's a close relative
of Vivian Mary Hartley also known as 2 times academy award winner
Vivian Leigh who she strongly resembles.

Patty has been named numerous times to Who's Who in the World.
Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Women , and others.
She was named 3 times Woman of the Year by the American Biographical
Institute and 2 times by the International Biographical Institute.

She was a dramatic soprano singing at the Met, an actress, modern dancer,
artist, poet, and puppet artist.  She performed in numerous productions including
performances at Lincoln Center, Summerfest, Irishfest, Germanfest among many
others.  I plan on posting and publishing her poetry as well as uploading videos
in the months to come.

Are You Proactive or Reactive Towards Life

One of the keys, I find to successful living is facing life
with a proactive attitude that you can control, for the
most part, what happens to you and how you see yourself
in the world.  People who are reactive towards life can
feel like their puppets on a string a victim of events and others.
It comes down to your point of view and your belief system.
I've been challenged these last five years with my wife Patty
passing, losing part of my left leg, and losing my autonomy
and freedom but I've developed a proactive attitude to focus
on what I need to do to get my life back and not feel sorry for
what has happened to me.  I believe each of us needs to develop
the proactive habit to live happy and productive lives.  Remember
" Whether You Think You Can or Think You Can't You're Right."

Building an Online Business Isn't That Easy

For the past couple of years, I've been attempting to
build a business online to supplement my disability
check with no success.  I've learned a lot being exposed
to 5 and 6 figure monthly earners who were where I'm
now. I've learned it's not as easy as I thought as 95%
of people never earn anything. But I've also learned
the if you stick with it and keep trying and educating
yourself you can make it.

I've decided to focus on one business promoting
digital audio and video education through a free
marketing system with The Six Figure Success
Team .  I offer a Free Report that explains everything.

I feel if you keep working towards something with
singleness of focus you will succeed.

To See Through The Eyes of Yeshua

If only the world today could look to understand our world
through eyes that Yeshua had some 2000 years ago realizing
that we are all interconnected to each other in this great cosmic
drama we call living and that we need to help each other like
the good samaritan. Yeshua taught many lessons through
parables that people didn't fully get then and still don't now.
Imagine how different the world could be.  In the years since
my leg amputation, I've had the time to study his great teachings
and consider him a mentor as he challenged me to take this
journey which has helped me to turn my health around from
being given last rites to reversing diabetes and healing my body.
He has taught many if they had the ears to hear.

There's Nothing To Fear As It's All In Your Head

Ben Franklin once said that 90% of the things he feared never happened.
Fear is a major motivator and demotivator in all of our lives directing
how we behave in different situations. Many times the only things holding
you back starting a business, getting new job, meeting a new love interest,
or millions of different things is Your fear which can be real or imaginary.
Franklin Roosevelt stated," There's nothing to fear bur fear itself " and
his wife Eleanor stated that we can overcome our fears by facing them
until we develop a track record of success. I believe Mrs. Roosevelt
is right or as Jack Canfield has said," Feel The Fear But Go For It Anyway."
Fear acts as a barrier to the full lives we desire but only we can do something
about it. We need to develop a plan of action taking baby steps first and then
slowly  progressing through the pain of fear until we see it's all in our head .
I have the same problem with fear as anyone but I refuse to let it control my
life and I follow Jack Canfield's advice remember," Feel The Fear But Go
For It Anyway."
Any comments would be appreciated.

A Word on Health and Longevity

On my journey to gain knowledge and understanding of how
the world really works, I've discovered some ideas that can
help anyone who develops and follows a plan a way to good health
and a longer life.  I am still searching for more specifics but I've
learned that what we eat and the ability to supplement lower levels
,as we  age, of certain vitamins, minerals, hormones, amino acids and
more looks like the key to a long and healthy life. The Greeks said,
" Let Food Be Thy Medicine and Medicine Be Thy Food". Learning,
as I am, how to eat healthy has helped me reverse my diabetes with
an A1C of 5.2 when 3 years ago I was given last rights. Some places
you can start are Dr. Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live book , Dr.Hyman's
UltraWellness newsletter at www.dr.hyman.com, and www.natural
news.com. Also focus on learning about how to replace the vitamins,
minerals, hormones, amino acids that we get diminished as we age.
An example is l-carnosine which starts to diminish in our bodies
after 40 and is critical for fighting free radicals, maintaining high
energy, and keeping telomeres from shortening which causes
illness leading to death. Check articles in www.naturalnews.com
to learn more. We can take control of our health and longevity
the question is will we?
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Another Year

Today is my birthday and can't believe I've been in this wheelchair for
three years and Patty's missing my birthday for the fifth year.  Alot
has happened this past year as I've learned how to heal diabetes
and done so, left Community Care, and am now working on healing
my neuropathy using the medical rebuilder to make my goal of walking
a reality. I appreciate the people that have helped me Steph, Jim, Curt,
and Van.  So as we say in Wisconsin " FORWARD"!

The Road Not Taken

"The Road Not Taken" is one of my favorite poems by Robert Frost which talks
about the options we have in life and how we respond to it.  The poem ends
with " I have taken the road least traveled by and that has made all the difference."
No matter what challenges we face in our lives we need to consider all the options
we have even if they are not the traditional path but the way that we believe will
take us to a positive outcome.  This is true in all areas of our lives.  In working on
restoring my health and the ability to walk again, I've constantly looked for answers
from seven world wide medical systems no matter what contemporary western
medicine thought and that has made all the difference.

Importance of Point of View

I've come to realize that just because someone is bright doesn't mean they're right                                         that there are other factors that determine how they view something or make decisions.
How  open or close minded they are, how much they're willing to explore a subject,
how much they're stuck in dogma or thought patterns accepted from the past.
They're  numerous examples for instance, conventional  medicine  has a certain
protocol and point of view treating disease drawing from a narrow point of view
to the knowledge that has been gathered over the centuries. The.same is true
of many other beliefs that we have. We, i believe, should keep our minds open
examining the information that we receive so we can  make wise decisions.

Whether You Think You Can or Can't Your Right

Recently  I've learned that some people believe that my quest to heal my
condition and walk again was unrealistic. For those people it's true but
to me having done 3 long years of research into my condition I know
and believe that it can and will happen soon.  That's because I 've
learned that other people have done it as there's been advances in
medical research and new therapies developed. Don't let others
define you or tell you how to think take your own quest on the
road to find out and stick by your own beliefs . Remember as
Henry Ford said, " Whether You Think You Can or Think You
Can't You're, Right".

I Love You More Than Life Itself

Over 4 years ago, a heart attack took my beautiful wife Patty Claire from me.
Now that I'm starting to feel the impact of that event as it's starting to really hit me.
Patty was an amazing woman !  She was beautiful, talent singer, actress, poet,
and artist having performed with the Metropolitan Opera Company, studied
at Juilliard School and The Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was named 5
times Woman of the Year by the American and International Biographical
Institutes.  She listed in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America,
Who's Who in American Women among others. Presently I'm working with
her poetry getting ready to publish and promote it through poetry readings.
I, while she was still alive, wrote this verse:
  Oh,my darling Patty Claire
you're the sweetest girl i know,
like the stars up in the heavens that twinkle as they glow,
I love you more than life itself
 no one can compare,
 You're everything I've ever want,
  my darling Patty Claire.
As we walk out neath the moonlight
 glistening on your hair,
soft and sweet you say to me just how much you care,
I love you more than life itself ,
 no one can compare  ,
 You're everything I'll ever need,
 I love you,Patty Claire.

Believe You Can! Cause You Can!

Over the past few months, I've been following a path to heal my diabetes
and complications on the belief it was possible and it is!  I'm starting to
get my strength and energy back.  My blood sugars have become normal
and my kidney function is much improved. My belief is leading me on the road
to exploring a wide range of health information to get control of my health
and life to where I'll become healthy and whole again.  If you believe with
single minded purpose that you can accomplish something you can!
As Henry Ford once said," Whether you think you can or you think you
can't, you're right".

Forward!

Forward! Is a motto we use here in Wisconsin and it's become a battle cry for me.
In my quest to restore my health there's been ups and downs but always the
determination to reach my goal.  This past week, I found out that Medicare will
not pay for treatment with my new functional medicine doctor and so I decided
to work harder to earn the money that I need to see the doctor as well as start
a treatment program to heal my neuropathy by myself by working out a payment
plan with the company that sells the medical rebuilder system. Two sayings I'm
learning to live by are " I will find a way or make a way" and" Failures are stepping
stones for success". Make a goal and then set your course never stopping until
you reach your goal.

Mother Nature Is The Best Pharmacist

In my journey of health modalities to find the way to health myself from diabetes
and its complications, I've learned about different treatments and medical models.
In reviewing the major health systems of the world it's interesting that almost all
of them are using natural remedies to heal the body without in general any side
effects.  It demonstrates that Mother Nature Does Know Best as to the way to
manage our health and restore our health . An example of this is I just read an
article,in Natural News that diabetics with kidney problems can restore their
health by taking Vitamin B1 or its active form benfotiamine. Mother Nature
cares about our well being and not her bottom line.

Taking Chances

Sometimes when you're deciding between two choices you need to step back and take a
serious  look at both sides and if that doesn't help then you  should follow your gut and
take   a chance that you can make it work.  Too often we take the save path which can
leave you  in the same place and not moving forward.  I'm presently deciding whether to
stay in the medical center /senior center where I'm getting free care but not getting any
better from their treatment or leave to another clinic where I have to pay some of the
costs but believe they can help me heal.  I've decided to take a chance to move to the
new  clinic so I can get the therapy I need to heal.

Create Positive Habits to Guide Your Life

Many of the behaviors we exhibit are performed habitually due to repetition and this
can work for us or against us.  I believe we should make the decision to plan behaviors
we want then practice them numerous times until they become a habit.  Things like
making time to accomplish an activity " cause someday never comes" instead of
just letting things happen or deciding to work on becoming more confident in dealing with
others and then taking action to practice that skill until it becomes natural.  Remember
failures are stepping stones to success, so keep pursuing your planned goal until
you make it happen as quitting is never an option.  Make the decision what you want
for your life then create your plan and take positive action to have the kind of life you
want.

Focus on the Root Cause Not the Symptom

I have learned a very valuable lesson from alternative medicine to focus on the root
cause of the problem and not the symptoms.  An example in medicine is treating type 2
diabetes by focusing on the root cause, insulin resistance and not the symptom which is
high blood sugar which will become normal again if the root cause was solved
through diet and exercise. But I can see this idea being applied to any number of
situations where  instead of being worried about something look for the root cause of
the problem & what solutions you can come up with.  I 'm starting to do this and find
it keeps me focused on how to solve the problem instead of worrying about it.
Oh by the way, don't just look for one right answer but as many as you can find.

Focus on the Root Cause Not the Symptom

As I've been thinking about my condition, I realize that the reason conventional doctors
aren't successful in treating chronic conditions is they ask the wrong questions.
They ask how can I manage the symptom this person has instead of asking what
is the root cause of this condition and what is the solution.  An example is type 2
diabetes, drugs many times are used to lower the symptom, high blood sugars, instead
of focusing on the root cause which is insulin resistance where diet and exercise are
the solution which will lower the high blood sugars and heal the body..  This taught me
to ask what is the root cause and the solution and find a doctor who does the same.

Seeing Different Points of View

As I continue researching ways to heal myself I continually run into different points
of view from different health professionals according to their core models of
conventional or alternative medicine. Which many times are at odds with each other.
One says there's no cure for an aliment and the other is curing that ailment every day.
An example is diabetes which conventional medicine believes is a life long ailment
which alternative medicine is reversing it daily through diet and exercise. I see this
debate in many other arenas too. So I conclude that you need to get as much
information as you can to draw your own conclusions and not accept opinions
or so called facts at face value.

For Type 2 Diabetics

As a diabetic I'm always looking for new information to help me treat the disease.
I'm reading a book by a naturapatic doctor that says that drugs for diabetes lowers
blood sugar but doesn't get to the root cause which is insulin resistence or your cells
inability to utilize the insulin your body produces and the problems that diabetes can

Stay Focused on the Prize

As I continue on my journey towards recovering my health and ability to walk , I
realize that staying focused on my goal is important to achieving the end result I
want.  When a situation has been going on for a while, now over 3 years, it's
hard to stay focused and keep up your faith that your goal will happen. But you
must have singleness of purpose realizing the quest is a marathon and not a sprint.
I keep my mind focused on what I'm trying to achieve continually searching for
answers that will help me heal and go back to my life. For I know I will succeed!

Proactive Living

We need to take control of our lives following through with the necessary activities
and not give others control by not doing the required research which leads to the
path we should take in any endeavor in our lives. I am working on healing my
diabetes and it's complications and have taken charge of it as my current doctor
is just trying to manage symtoms which isn't much help.  Through my research
I've found treatment programs from other doctors which I are starting to heal
me.  I've gotten my blood sugars down to. between 80-102. Starting something
new can be hard work and making changes aren't easy but we need to pay the price
to achieve our goal.

Some Reflections

As I take this journey, I continue to discover new pieces of the puzzle and see patterns
develop across the spectrum that open my eyes to the  world around me to see things
as they truly are .  I've learned that the medical establishment tries to keep remedies
that can heal various diseases like diabetes quite because of financial greed.
If you have diabetes or know someone who does then visit www.myhealingkitchen.com
and  www.drfurhman.com. for information to heal you.   It seems that the way the world
is portrayed to us is actually different from how things truly are. I invite you to take own
journey and make your own conclusions.

Are You Locked In Your Own Mythology?

As I continue to explore different ideas, beliefs, and mythologies it occurs to me
that each one of us view our world through own point of views and mythologies
many times locked in not willing or able to explore other possibilities and
perspectives.   I believe  for our world to be a better place to live in we need
to broaden our views willing to see the various sides openly to find mutually
benefical ways of coming together. As my late wife said, " Love is being
open to the ideas of others."  None of us know for certain that our
mythologies are right but I believe we need to be continually exploring keeping
our minds open to new information and perspectives for us to develop and
grow as people.

Gotta Find Me A Future

Since I've started this journey in 2009, I've been trying to find a path to getting
back to a "normal" life and I'm starting to make progress.  My diabetes and
neuropathy are reversing improving weekly.  I've started this blog plus a few
online opportunities.  I'm working on starting a storytelling podcast, creating
puppet videos, and presenting webinars on various topics.  Now that I must
go on without my lovely wife Patty and as Queen said in "I Want It All"
I Gotta Find Me A Future and I'm on my way!    Life is filled with
challenges which test us and we need to meet the challenge rising
up like the Phoenix to live another day.

Failures Are Stepping Stones On Road Towards Success

There have been numerous times, in my life, when I've started something
only to run into problems, fear, self-doubt, negative comments from others etc.

It made me feel down, defeated, worthless and just generally down about myself.
But through this journey I'm on I've developed a new perspective about my life
and world around me by studying the works of great writers and thinkers in a
variety of fields.   Through this study, I've come to look at the concept of
stepping stones which bridge one idea to another.

A realization I've come to about failing is:
Failures are stepping stones on the road towards success.

So never give up just keep striving, for life is a marathon and not
a sprint.

Rising Up To A New Life Like "The Phoenix"

I feel as if 2012 is going to be the year that I restore my health
and start up numerous new projects and relationships.  In the
past month since I've start the plant based diet, my blood
sugars are starting to stabilize in the low 100's and  below 100.
Meaning I'm on the road to reversing my diabetes and neuropathy.
I'm also planning to start soon new therapies to help my legs heal
and strengthen so I can stand and then walk again.  I believe like
the mythology of "The Phoenix", I will rise from the ashes of my
illness and be reborn into a healthy robust new life. I recently
opened an online digital bookstore offering a variety of e-books
at reasonable prices generally between $4-$8
at http://digitalbooksforsuccess.com and plan starting to broadcast
my storytelling podcast "Tales Are For Telling" this month.

Importance of Being Open Minded

Through my journey towards self discovery, I have come to know the
importance of developing an open mind and point of view taking in,
analyzing, accepting or rejecting information through my world view.
I have learned to open my mind to explore for more than one right
answer knowing that the pursuit of knowledge is a life long quest.
Being open minded allows us to explore the world around us with a
sense of wonder and when interacting with other people, as my
loving wife wrote, share love.  When we take this path we may
find that at the end of the road there's a light shinning brightly.

Way of Enlightenment

On my journey I have come to know that believing in the way of Yeshua means
following the way of Love and Truth which leads you on the path towards
the light of enlightenment that we are One with the Father no matter what
our race, creed sex, or sexual preference.  To open our mind to show love,
which is as my wife wrote, being open to listen to the ideas of others.
When we can treat others and their ideas with an open mind whether we
agree with them or not then ,as Yeshua says in the Bible, we will come
to know the Kingdom of God which is within and dwell in Heaven.

Just Because You're Bright Doesn't Mean Your Right

A few months ago while studying the ideas from various scientists, I started to realize
a pattern, someone would make a new discovery only to get it rejected by the
establishment and over a period of time, a few years to hundreds of years, it would
become established belief.  Meanwhile numerous people died who could of been
saved using vitamin c for scurvey or doctors washing their hands between patients
preventing infections.  I realized there have a lot of bright people who have come
to the wrong conclusions. From this I conclude intelligence itself isn't enough there
are other factors  such as openness, desire for knowledge and truth, and not getting
caught up in oneself importance.  To remind this in myself and others I composed
the saying" Just Because You're Bright Doesn't Mean You're Right."

A Few Thoughts

Yesterday I watched a documentary  for free on Documentary Wire.com entitled
A Diet For All Reasons which was a lecture by a medical doctor discussing how
the diet we eat determines if we get sick with chronic disease or stay healthy.
I'm finishing up my first month on a plant based diet and today my blood sugars
were 87 with 75-95 being non-diabetic and so it's working!
Over and over I've come to realize that the greatest treasure we have is our family
and close friends and we need to remember not to take them for granted and get
too caught up in daily activities.
Being a storyteller, one of the stories I tell is Aesop's The Northwind and the Sun
where the two of them have a contest to prove which one is the stronger of the two.
The Northwind goes first blowing cold gusts upon a traveler trying to get him to
take his coat off but the opposite happens and the wind leaves in disgust. Then it's
the Sun's turn and pours down his warm rays soothing the man who takes off
his coat. The moral is It's Better To Use Warm Persuasion Than Cold Force.
What kind of people do we want to be Sun's or Northwind's?
